The New Car Seat

The new car seat from Grandpa Jeff just arrived!
Niya has been close to growing out of her little infant seat for a while now and she is really to heavy to carry around in it anyway. We decided that since we ordered a very neutral infant seat that we knew would be used for other kids, we should get Niya a girly seat for her very own since she will be in it until she is at least 4. So, we knew that we wanted a Britax seat, and a certain model, but they had limited girly patterns... we went all out... way girly! But, I think she likes it!! :)

The first time in the new seat!

So comfy
Sweet!
Thanks Grandpa!! :)

Sledding!

We did manage to find enough snow to go sledding a few times (although we did have to go looking for it). It was so fun to see all the little kids bundled up for the snow... getting ready to go outside was sure a process!!! ;P Here are some pictures once we finally got outside!

Stephanie, Brayden, Papa (Dennis), and Riley
Papa gives Daddy and Niya a push down the sledding hill as Tyson, Riley, Stephanie, Hailey, and Gramma wait their turn.
Mommy and Niya all dressed for snow!
Mommy showing Niya the snow... she just wanted to eat it!
The "Big Kids" take their turn down the hill.
Looking forward to next year and more snow!

A Cabin in The Woods!

For the first annual Family Cabin in the Woods, we met Mom and Dennis, and my sister Stephanie and her family out near Willamette Pass. Although there wasn't much snow (actually there was hardly any), we had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas, Stephanie's Birthday, and our first annual winter get together! Here are a few of the cabin pictures.

Hey, I like this place!
Hmm... what to do next!?!
Dennis, Stephanie, and Tyson at the cabin table for Cards, Games, Spanish Coffee, Hot Cocoa, and always more food!! :)
Niya and her "Big" cousin Riley...
you can almost see Niya thinking "Gee I wish I had this much hair... pretty!"

Niya in Her Jammyroos... I just cannot resist!!

I just cannot resist these pictures! I love how little she looks in this picture... she is always trying to be BIG!

As if to say... Can I come out now?!

On The Move...

So many toys and so little time...

Here I come...

"Snack" break!

Good Morning!

Imagine our surprise to see this little face peering over the top of the crib rail. Somebody has figured out how to get up!
Notice the determination...

Hi! See what I can do?!
Niya is so funny about this... she is VERY pleased with herself and is practically laughing when you come into her room and she can see you over the top rail.

Niya's First Christmas!

As expected Niya's first Christmas was wonderful. She totally got the whole unwrapping thing and was super excited about each gift! She wanted to eat every gift and loved the bows and paper. Here are just a few pictures and some really cute pictures of Niya with her stocking and her gifts.

One Reason There Are Mommies...

Does anybody else think maybe the pants are pulled up a bit too high?

Daddy is Hilarious!!

Apparently this is a routine diaper change... Daddy is so much more fun than Mommy!

Driving in New Jersey

Driving on the New Jersey Turnpike is so crazy that we thought we might as well let Niya drive (totally parked of course!!) :)

New York City and Connecticut!!

Our first family vacation was wonderful!! We had an amazing time on our trip to Connecticut and New York. We were a little worried about the 5 and 1/2 hour plane flight there and back but Niya was great. Our favorite compliment was a woman 4 rows up who told us as we disembarked "I didn't even know a baby was back there!" Success! :)
Here are just a few pics to share our trip with you!

Here we are on the ferry to the statue of liberty (just a bit of Lady Liberty in the background).
