Wow, less than 90 days... less than 3 months...

I just cannot believe that we are getting this close... time is flying by. About time to post new belly shots, so keep looking... I'm hoping to get them up this weekend when Grammy is here to take some of Daddy and I! :)

Grammy is coming today and bringing more baby treasures... we are so excited!!!

Wall Candy in the Nursery...

This weekend Daddy and I put up the wall dots in the nursery! We had a lot of fun sticking these adhesive (removable) dots to the wall and making the room "cute". The nursery is coming together piece by piece, so this is by far not a complete picture... but I had to show off the "wall candy" and share our progress!

Crib sheets!

Okay, so for history's sake I have to say that I am embarking on a journey to make my own crib set (well, "Blueberry's" crib set)... skirt and sheets... anyway. I am a little nervous and may totally mess this up. However, by telling all of you, I am committing to completing this project for my baby! :) So, for you, my little one... mommy will do her best! :)

I will keep you posted on the progress I am making!!

Maybe "Blueberry" is shy...

We had such a fun weekend with my wonderful Uncle Michael and Aunt Karen and Gramma Rhonda! And the whole time we all waited for "Blueberry" to give a few good kicks so that we could share that exciting feeling and everyone could feel the belly... but nothing!!!! Not even a few little bumps!!! NOTHING! (which isn't to say I didn't get some to my bladder or other spots that couldn't be shared)

I was sooo bummed!!

And then, after everyone left your little gymnast bounced around the whole rest of Sunday and all day Monday. Big kicks that even impressed Daddy.

So, is "Blueberry" shy?!? Was the lack of kicking because all the conversation was making him/her sleepy? What??? We are so puzzled and look forward to testing this on our next guest weekend. Meredith, I hope you're ready to test our theory with us!! :)

We also cannot tell if Daddy makes "Blueberry" awake and excited or is a calming presence that puts one to sleep. It seems that talking and stroking mommy is reason to wiggle around, but a hand on the belly to feel all the movement... immediately puts one to sleep! So funny! Poor Daddy he just wants to feel all the kicks too!

Growth spurts in pregnancy are so weird!!!

I cannot believe that you can actually be this big and still sort of "forget" that you are pregnant. Then one day a little growth spurt occurs and you are sure that you are actually, physically, really, going to pop!! It is so weird! Then you sort of adjust and everything feels fine again for a while, then it happens all over.

** Please don't comment telling me how many more months I have or how much bigger I will get... that so brings out the cranky pregnant side of me... just so you know! :)

Another wonderful midwife visit....

Yesterday we went to our midwife. We have checked out healthy and happy! "Blueberry" played a silly game of catch me if you can with the heart monitor... which was pretty funny! Eventually a nice strong heart beat was confirmed (one that didn't keep fading as somebody wiggled away). At the time, "Blueberry" was comfortably settled with head into mommy's left hip and butt up under the right side of my ribs. Which seemed comfortable enough until the midwife decided to feel around with her (most apologetic) very cold hands! :)  Then the games began!
We had a confirmed growth spurt this week as we are on the upper side of the growth range for this week's appointment. I guess you are supposed to measure within 3 cm of your week in pregnancy (pelvic bone to top of uterus measurement). That would explain all the sleeping and eating!!! :) And the feeling of being HUGE for about 3 days before I went back to feeling Big again. I think it takes a few days for your body and brain to get used to the new size of things.
So, everything is growing nicely and "Blueberry" is really starting to bulk up now, about 1/4 lb a week!!!

Mmmm...Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds!

I must start this post by revealing that I don't like cereal! At all! Kevin, however, could and does eat it at least once a day!

Today I couldn't leave the grocery store without the box of Honey Bunches of Oats that was near the check stand. I noticed this display more than a week ago and have been regretting not buying a box since then... that nagging feeling in the back of my mind that something like a large bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats would taste wonderful. By the time I got home today, I couldn't put everything else away fast enough to have a huge bowl... and am now contemplating another bowl for my official dinner. I can only think that this euphoric cereal experience can only be attributed to the circumstance of carrying Kevin's child who will probably love cereal as much as its father.

So, for you my darling blueberry... mommy will eat another bowl of Honey Bunches of Oats!
